The word 'accreditation' is a concept that only exists in the US. It is mostly a concept to make money (to be accredited, you have to pay an agency to do so), and there are 7 major accrediting agencies in the US. No other country in the world uses this term or concept. The meaning of the terms 'government approved' and 'government chartered' in various countries roughly equate to accredited, but do not mean the same thing in the US.
Carlingford University has the authority to operate as a degree granting university in the: UK, Greece, Cyprus, Australia, Ireland, China, Singapore, and Malaysia.
The University is Chartered to operate as a degree granting university in Delaware and Alabama.
When a University is Chartered in the US, that means they are approved to do business in the US. The University then can, per the charters, issue degrees from any of the US states it is chartered in. Carlingford University however, elects at this time to issue any earned degrees from London so that the degree is in effect, an international degree.
In Summary: Degrees from Carlingford are just as valid as international degrees issued from London. |
